DESCRIPTION:We will meet in the upstairs meeting room between my office and the gym. The group will meet Thursdays from 7pm-8:30pm on October 3\, 10\, 17\, 24 and November 7 & 14. We are going to be reading through Brian McClaren’s book\, Life After Doom. \n  \nHere is a little more about the book:\nAs our world faces doom of all kinds: ecological disasters and the effects of global warming\, wars and violence\, politics becoming more divisive and polarized\, economic injustice and more – what are we to do? Life After Doom looks reality in its face\, as harsh as it can be\, and “explores the complexity of hope\, the necessity of grief\, and the need for new ways of thinking\, becoming\, and belonging in turbulent times.”\nTW: Please know that all are welcome to join but this book deals with some very harsh realities. Per the author\, “if you are already on the narrow ledge of anxiety and depression because of personal challenges\, grief\, or illness this book is not for you\, at least not right now.”
