Help the Warming Center Today!

At ResCov, we’re committed to our journey of deeper discipleship, sustaining a caring community, and engaging in local and global mission as we live out our call to be a people of God. From the corner of Byron and Marshfield on Chicago’s northside we invite you to join us in our life together as we seek God’s glory and neighbor’s good! We see in the heart of God and the life of Jesus Christ a model for caring for our community, rich and poor alike. As a response to this call we began the Warming Center for our neighbors experiencing homelessness on the northside of Chicago. ResCov’s Warming Center is a place where relationships are built and people are invited into community through a warm meal and a inviting space every Friday night.

The Warming Center is somewhere I come because I like the atmosphere, and the food is good, but I most enjoy the relationships I’ve built coming here for the past three years. We laugh, we have serious conversations, and, most importantly, they keep inviting me back.”

I like coming to the ResCov Warming Center for the chance to interact with lots of different people, the games, and the conversations.”

Partner With Us!

Today we find ourselves in an exciting and challenging place: we are outgrowing our capacity. Currently, we gather in a small apartment owned by the church. Though we are welcoming as many individuals as we can, there are times when some guests must be turned away because we do not have room for everyone.

Will you partner with us to expand the capacity of our Warming Center by remodeling our church basement into a warm, safe, and usable space for this ministry? We envision a space to comfortably eat and fellowship together. By increasing and improving our physical capacity it opens the doors for growth in this ministry.
