Even in a small church like ours, it can be easy to get lost in the crowd. Not just a fancy name for “small group”, Table Talk is a place to connect closely with a smaller part of the ResCov community. ResCov small groups invite intentional relationships and exploration of what it means to be followers of Christ. Table Talk are an opportunity to come together in small groups and grow deeper in your faith.
In 2011 we are offering two options for you to get involved in small groups. We will continue to host groups that meet for nine months altering the schedule to a rhythm of three weeks on, one week off. We are also expanding Table Talk to include Formational Seminars created for people who are unable to make a nine-month commitment. The Formational Seminars will meet weekly for ten weeks with new seminars offered seasonally.

Topics and Facilitators
Worship as Story – Dave Bjorlin
Tuesday evenings @ 7:30 pm, location tbd
In this seminar we will discuss the power of story in our lives and how God’s story is enacted through the worship of the Church. If you are drawn to a good story or would like to learn more about worship and liturgy, come and join us as we explore together God’s story in worship.
Divided By Faith – Lenore Knight Johnson
Wednesday evenings @ 7:30 pm in the West Rogers Park neighborhood
In this group we will read and discuss the book Divided by Faith: Evangelical Religion and the Problem of Race in America by Michael Emerson and Christian Smith (2000). While the book itself is a sociological study of the relationship between religion, race and American culture, it offers many avenues for considering where we as Christians and participants in the Church fit in efforts to overcome racism and racial inequality in our society. (If you would like to participate but are unable to purchase a book, please see Pastor Aaron)
….. and beginning Tuesday November 29 Dave Bjorlin will host a three-week seminar on the story and liturgy of Advent and Christmas.
